3. Recoleta Cemetery – Buenos Aires, Argentina
A city of the dead in the middle of the city of the living. Marble mausoleums tower over narrow walkways, and stray cats wander lazily in the sun. The most famous grave belongs to Eva Perón, but it’s the intricate details and sheer opulence of the tombs that make this place unforgettable.

5. St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 – New Orleans, USA
With its above-ground tombs and rich history, this cemetery is a quintessential part of New Orleans’ gothic charm. Marie Laveau, the city’s famous Voodoo Queen, is buried here, adding a layer of legend to its already captivating presence.
